The Civil Service Rainbow Alliance and a:gender, in conjunction with partners Yougov, are pleased to announce the launch of the online questionnaire and forum for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans Career Development Research Project today.
All LGB & T staff in the civil service are invited to participate in the online questionnaire found at csrasurvey.yougov.com. The questionnaire is fairly detailed and will measure how civil servants perceive their career development. It is designed to take between 15 and 20 minutes to complete and once the results are in and analysed, will build a solid evidence base for future work. All responses are confidential.
The online forum can be accessed by completing the questionnaire or visiting http://zapqual.yougov.com/go/go.aspx?visa=vklQzsYKmZ7sdq.The forum has been established to provide an opportunity to further explore any and all issues raised in the questionnaire. It is also an opportunity to offer any feedback on experiences had during your civil service career in a safe, moderated and anonymous environment. Good or bad, better or worse, we want to hear YOUR stories.
The questionnaire and forum are open until 4th June, and there will be further opportunities to be involved in the project via one of our Focus Group sessions around the UK, the first of which is being held in Cardiff on Friday 14th May. In groups of a dozen, this is a chance for the project to gain some valuable qualitative data to help formulate conclusions and recommendations going forward. Please do participate in the questionnaire and forum, and please also send this to any LGB or T colleagues in the UK Civil Service. It is important that we hear as many views as possible.
